he never touched the guitar again,
but it stayed in sight like a trophy
(look at who I used to be)
and inside the photo album
he didn’t recognise himself,
stuffed with panadine forte.
2.
her agenda slipped from the purse
and onto the table,
a fortune cookie going to mould
eyes lined 3mm short of insecure,
and a skirt that said everything
a kiss couldn’t.
